Track by track: HEADS. – Collider

We love a bit of HEADS. at Keep It Fast, their angled, jagged, noisy concentrated sound is a raucous delight.  To celebrate, here’s a track by track breakdown of Collider, their second album.

PABST – Chlorine

You’ll be unfamiliar with Berlin-based power trio PABST – but never fear, you’ll want to cram the nuggets of spicy gold of their debut album, Chlorine, into your ears.

The Get Up Kids – Kicker

Kicker, by The Get Up Kids is a four track, 14 minute EP of tightly packed anthems laced with longing, tingling nostalgia.

Hot Snakes – Jericho Sirens

Why Jericho Sirens is a bludgeoning, dangerous and deadly beast of a record and the 14 years have been well worth the wait.

Turnstile – Time & Space

Making a name for yourself in modern hardcore is a difficult prospect, so that’s probably why Maryland’s Turnstile sound like an oldball mix of 311/Madball/Suicide Machines and bizarrely, Status Quo (more on that later) in order to carve their name into this overflowing musical landscape.

Black Moth – Anatomical Venus

Hailing from Leeds, home to Hawk Eyes and Blacklisters, Black Moth are driven by huge, pulsating riffs. Imagine if the sound of all the vehicles in Mad Max: Fury Road were guitars, then that’s close to the sound this five piece produce.

The Chats – Get This In Ya!!

At the risk of letting this pass without acknowledging it, I feel the internet and everyone involved needs to know more about the sheer brilliance of Australia’s, The Chats.

UpCDownC – Black Dracula video

This terror train of film-noir-horror-post-metal debauchery, known as UpCDownC released a video last year for their track, Black Dracula, as featured on the gloom-laden terror of last year’s I, Awake and their self-titled EP from 2015.

American Nightmare – S/T

American Nightmare have created a document that is 9 tales of brutally honest, impassioned, chaotic, diverse and heart-wrenching rock, sealed with a heart to the world of hardcore. Open it and absorb its twisted poetry and noise.
