Wizard Rifle – S/T

There’s a kind of unholy majesty about the songs on offer here – each of these five tracks feels expansive, monstrously heavy and crams so many ideas and twists within its layers.

The Turin Horse – S/T

Who the fuck are The Turin Horse you ask? Two dudes from Italy called s Enrico Tauraso (vox, guitar, samples) and Alain Lapaglia (drums) both of whom were in separate bands (Dead Elephant and Morkobot) but decided to sack that off, teamed up, moved to Turin and created this noise-pollution of a duo.

JOHN – God Speed In The National Limit

Being able to find stuff is overrated anyway. JOHN (comprised of John on drums and vocals and John on guitar) are, I’m guessing, more deadpan than a churchyard full of deceased cooking pots. They know the joke and are sticking with it and why should they crack a face to please you?

Ampwrecked: New Tracks For Your Ears #6

Welcome to Ampwrecked. In this issue, John and Big Business prove that duos make the loudest noises, Brand New continue to be cryptic, USA Nails are the funniest band on the planet, MSTRKRFT make harrowing chaos, METZ team up with the Swami and Zack Lopez brings the riffs in a huge truckload.

Stolen Nations – Smoke Signals

Stolen Nations are going to tick a lot of boxes for people. A two piece, comprised of Jon Terrey (ex-The Chariot) on guitars, vocals and Kris Rochelle (of Listener) on drums, they’re sound is an ever-shifting amalgamation of grunge, punk, stoner and even post rock thrown into the mix.
