Keeping their cards close to their chest, I’m not entirely sure who is in Terrible Love, but I know it’s made up of ex-members of *takes deep breath* Funeral For a Friend, Goodtime Boys, Bastions and Grappler; so rest assured, there’s a fair amount of talent burning bright in that melting pot of bubbling hardcore tomfoolery.
Funeral For A Friend have decided to call it a day. Deep within me somewhere, the 19 year old me is quite sad at this news as back then they were my favourite band. I still remember buying their debut album, Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation back in 2003 (time has ravaged me) and playing it to death.
Now with a modified line-up (only vocalist Matthew Davies-Kreye and guitarist Kris Coombs-Roberts remain from the Casually Dressed-era) Conduit is Funeral For A Friend’s 6th album and also their shortest. Clocking in at just over 29 minutes, with the longest track being 3.37 (the superb High Castles) it doesn’t hang around.
