Remote Viewing – Blood Loss

Remote Viewing’s sound is not a million miles away from the racket Palehorse created – there’s less low-end, as two guitars exist instead of the dual-bass attack.

Track by track: HEADS. – Collider

We love a bit of HEADS. at Keep It Fast, their angled, jagged, noisy concentrated sound is a raucous delight.  To celebrate, here’s a track by track breakdown of Collider, their second album.

The Turin Horse – S/T

Who the fuck are The Turin Horse you ask? Two dudes from Italy called s Enrico Tauraso (vox, guitar, samples) and Alain Lapaglia (drums) both of whom were in separate bands (Dead Elephant and Morkobot) but decided to sack that off, teamed up, moved to Turin and created this noise-pollution of a duo.

THANK – Sexghost Hellscape

This is a Hieronymus Bosch painting in musical form that’s started to melt into a sickening puddle of smoldering wax, wires and decay. Subjecting yourself for more than 20 minutes of this will send you fucking insane. Boiling, bubbling, mutated flesh, that’s where we’re coming from. I feel sick.

METZ – Strange Peace

METZ hit the ground running, or rather, absolutely demolish all barriers with the teeth-rattling barrage that is Mess Of Wires. This is more a freight train continuously building in speed and chattering noise, as the drumming of Hayden Menzies is an almost direct parallel to the sound of clattering wheel rails, chewing to pieces everything in its path.

Christian Fitness – Slap Bass Hunks

Staring at the cover of Slap Bass Hunks, (the fourth album from the ever-prolific Christian Fitness, aka, Andy Falkous) I’m convinced that it’s some kind of ‘Black Mirror’ vision of the future, where the uprising happens and we succumb to our great bee overlords.

USA Nails – Shame Spiral

Immersing themselves almost completely in a different spectrum of reality, USA Nails (the family fun time band from London – as they like to call themselves) seem content to continue morphing into a magic eye picture of warped insanity. The Swami-guitar lines of their debut have all been erased; washed in a sea of sludge.

KRAUSE – 2am Thoughts

Man, this is pissed/odd/crazy (delete where applicable). Hey, that’s what you expect from any band on Riot Season though; a label that are the true purveyors of the weird, wonderful and downright ridiculous when it comes to creating a variation on sound that can be interpreted and translated into music. KRAUSE are four dudes from Athens…
